Neuroscience Bulletin, the official journal of the Chinese Neuroscience Society, is published monthly by Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (Institute of Neuroscience), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Springer Nature.
Neuroscience Bulletin, aims to publish research advances in the field of neuroscience and promote the exchange of scientific ideas within the community. The journal publishes original papers on topics in neuroscience and focuses on the implications for diseases of the nervous system. Neuroscience Bulletin welcomes research contributions on molecular, cellular, or developmental neuroscience using multidisciplinary approaches and functional strategies. We feature full-length original articles, reviews, methods, protocols, letters to the editor, insights, and research highlights. As the official journal of the Chinese Neuroscience Society, which currently has more than 15000 members in China, Neuroscience Bulletin is devoted to facilitating communication between Chinese neuroscientists and their international colleagues. The journal is recognized as the most influential publication in neuroscience research in China.
Beginning with the first issue of 2009, Neuroscience Bulletin has been included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E, available as the Web of Science), Neuroscience Citation Index, Biological Abstracts, and Biosis Previews databases. The journal is also indexed/abstracted in various citation resources, including MEDLINE/PubMed, Index Medicus, Chemical Abstracts, Excerpta Medica, SCOPUS, Index Copernicus, Chinese Science Citation Database, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, and the Wanfang database.
In October, 2011, the Editorial Board was reorganized by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Shumin Duan. Since January 2018, Prof. Ru-Rong Ji has been the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Neuroscience Bulletin. The Editorial Board has 130 members, of whom about half are distinguished neuroscientists from abroad, including six members of the American National Academy of Sciences and six Editors-in-Chief of leading neuroscience journals, ensuring that the journal maintains high scientific standards and has a broad international coverage. Besides, a native English-speaking neuroscientist, Prof. Iain C. Bruce, serves as a full-time Executive Associate Editor.
Neuroscience Bulletin has cooperated with Springer Science+Business Media for publishing on Springerlink since 2008; this includes hard-copy publication, overseas distribution, and online publication on both Springerlink ( http://link.springer.com/journal/12264) and the journal webpage ( www.neurosci.cn).
Neuroscience Bulletin is distributed domestically by the Shanghai Post Office and internationally by Springer. The Post Office code number is 4-608. The domestic price is 100 CNY.
